3D character model: Mei (My Neighbour Totoro)

Mei from My Neighbour Totoro I 3D modeled the character Mei from the Ghibli film My Neighbour Totoro for my Design Studio 2 class. There are some stylistic differences due to bringing a 2D character into 3D form. I started by modeling the head and face in Sculptris, then I brought the .obj into Autodesk Maya for quad-drawing and also to model the body. The pigtails were also sculpted in Sculptris and quad-drawn in Maya as well, because they were more organic shapes. The materials were created in Adobe Photoshop with snapshots of the organized UV map. I tried to keep the wireframe clean as our next assignment was to rig the 3D character model. Project Azamusk Game

Figure 1. Some screenshots from the game For the IMD Capstone Project 2021, I worked with a team of six to design and develop a 3D sci-fi puzzle game in Unity. This project took 8 months from initial conception to final implementation. Our game is available for play in browser via WebGL on itch.io or for Windows PC via download. Project Azamusk: User Testing

This post outlines the testing process for Project Azamusk , my senior capstone project completed in April 2021. Throughout the course of 8 months, the team scheduled and conducted the following test plans around the course deliverable deadlines (Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Final). Note: September was spent on planning the project, managing scope, and creating a production plan.
